Summer Dog Sled Ride and Seavey Estate Tour
5★ (50 reviews)
The most-reviewed dog tour in Seward — 50 reviews at 5.0★.
Short answer: the kennels are the value — 90 of the 112 reviews sit on the two ground tours, which cost $89–120 and run under 90 minutes. The helicopter versions add a glacier landing and multiply the price by five to seven. Both helicopter prices below were run through checkout on 25–26 August 2026 and the till asked what the listing advertised.

Two of these run from kennels you can drive to. The other two put you in a helicopter and land you on a glacier, where the same breed of dog pulls the same sled on snow instead of a wheeled cart. Season runs May–September.

The Seavey summer ride at $120 if you want the most-reviewed option — 5.0★ from 50 reviews. Turning Heads at $89 if price decides it: 4.8★ from 40 reviews and the cheapest sled on this list.
A glacier. The kennel tours run from a yard you can drive to; the helicopter tours fly you up and run the sled on snow. The dogs and the sled are the point in both cases — the flight is what costs $509 to $782 more.
From $89 to $871 as advertised. The two ground tours are $89 and $120; the two glacier flights are $629 and $871. Prices move with date and group size.
We do not know for these four. We ran the seven Kenai Fjords cruises through booking and published what the till asked; 4 of them rang up higher than the ad by $1.98 to $44.28. We have not repeated that test on the dog tours, so treat these as advertised figures.
The kennel tours run about 80 and 90 minutes. The helicopter tours are 90 minutes and 2 hours 20 minutes door to door, flight included.
On the published evidence, no case can be made either way. The $629 flight holds 5.0★ from 17 reviews; the $871 one holds 4.1★ from 5. Both samples are too small to settle it, and the cheaper one is currently rated higher.
Yes — both ground listings are sold as summer rides, which is why they run from kennels rather than on a trail. The glacier flights reach snow year-round in the season.
